Help with searchng
My equipment: Genie2 HS17-500; 4K Genie Mini C61K-700
I would like to be able to search only the TCM channel for Western movies. Searching Google does not reveal a solution. Is there any way to do this? DirecTV search has never had a way to search by channel, but perhaps there is a "secret" way? Is there a way to auto-record these?
Also I would like to be able to search only the channels I get for MLB baseball games. Is there a way to do this? Is there a way to auto-record these?
Also, when I set things up to auto-record, it records matching shows on channels I don't get. Is there any way to prevent this?

Using search to record uses the default settings of all channels, On Demand and reruns. For specific channels you use the guide and press the record button twice to record the series including MLB games.

Searching is based on all the available channels you have in your package and not just narrowing it down to a specific one. These are all good ideas, and we appreciate your input. Kesiah, DIRECTV Community Team

The search facility of DirecTV needs improvement. It is quite limited.
