Shitty Service

I had satellite service for years.  6 weeks ago ATT/DirectTV decided to jack my rate $75 a month unless I switched to streaming.  They made promises galore which they have failed miserably in completing.  I have streaming now, but I have pauses galore (I also have ATT Fiber).  I cannot cast recorded shows to my TV anymore.  I can only watch them on my phone app or my two smart TVs.  Now they say I have to have boxes on all five TV's at $5 a month with $50 in sales tax charges (sales tax is actually about .43 a month per device so they are clearly lying about that charge).  And, I dare any of you to find a live person in customer service to speak to.  Their chat feature is completely automated so you can't converse with anyone their either.  I'm switching to Spectrum or a different provider.  ATT and Directtv streaming obviously doesn't give a damn about it's customers.

Yes.  Amazing how Directtv can f#ck over customers.  My satellite system worked perfectly.  They jacked the rate $75 and told me I switched to streaming then it would go back down.  However, the service has been (Edited per community guidelines)ty with pauses galore and customer service has been even worse.

You don't need to have the boxes on your 5 TVs, you just need a streaming device to be able to use STREAM.

Which devices are you using now?  

Representatives here are responsive, so hopefully, they can help you with the issues you have.

ask to speak to the loyalty department for streaming when you call and they have the best promotions and discounts available if there are any for your acct.

During the chat process key xpmething like help, service, supervisor, or representative. Tou will be fprwarded to a live rep when available. I never have any issues getting a live rep. You may have to wait for one to become available.

Fat fingers hit the wrong keys. If I  didn't have autocorrect I would be completely unintelligible. 

My wife reads right through this stuff. Facebook posters are twice as bad.

Had satellite service but switched to streaming due to lapses due to bad weather, with really poor reception,pauses and that jingle all the time.  Went back to satellite and put up with the occasional weather related outage.  What happened to good old reliable Ma Bell.  I have other issues am I facing extortion to go to streaming now.
