Also...note that I tested a ryoko hotspot running an at&t sim, and got same problem not being able to access directv stream. Was in good at&t coverage area. So its just not starlink issues.

@DIRECTVhelp check the directv call logs...I've made 2 calls to support...yesterday evening and early this morning...probably spent an hour explaining the conditions of the problem...to three different people, including a supervisor who called me back....and everything I had done to narrow down the source...including multiple reinstall of the apps..both on firestick and my android, rebooting my starlink. I also duplicated the issue using a ryoko hotspot running an at&t sim, with good signal strength, so its not just a starlink issue. . 95% of the time I can't get past the directv splash screen....I can sit for an hour with nothing. When I have gotten past the splash screen,, it bombs after a few seconds..with an error msg tlhat starts with "oops.." and has error code on bottom...00000-000. .I have excellent speeds...20 to over 100 megs down, latency under 30, no obstructions,, and even tried running on my laptop using ethernet from starlink adapter.

Question to DirectTVhelp. Where is the chat icon next to the bell? I don't see one.

Hmm, I would expect an IP address issue with geolocation to mean content would get a restricted type of message, not that think service was degraded having problems with good delivery. So Starlink gave a very general answer on what a common problem is, but with nothing indicating that it might be part of this paricular issue.
Well I guess that is a start. If you do a BBB complaint to DIRECTV STREAM, or have a DM with the forum help team, I would include those details from Starlink. Just make sure to clarify the exact issue you are having first so there is no wrong assumptions from general info from Starlink.

Hey Directv...ive posted it before....a friends portable hotspot, from Ryoko. (Muama Ryoko portable router) running on an AT&T sim, also experiences the same issue with Directv Stream. I wonder how many other hotspots are having issues?

Why do they ask the same questions over and over. They have to have an idea now that it is not the internet speeds. I tried connecting to DIRECTV through Starlink which according to them must be the problem, but when I use a VPN it connects fine and when I turn the VPN off DIRECTV doesn’t work. A VPN reduces the internet speeds. Also I connection to a VPN is in San Francisco from a Starlink POP in Los Angeles. Wouldn’t DIRECTV work better if it traveled a shorter distance. If I could get my Apple TVs to connect to the VPN I wouldn’t waste my time trying to help tech support fix this for their customers. What a waste of everyone’s time. Provide updates or at least acknowledge the issue and stop asking people if they checked there cables, rebooted their equipment and if there speeds are sufficient. Provide an update. Send out an email to the customers with a support ticket. Do something to make your customer feel valued. This could either be handled well or badly and currently it’s being handled badly.

We want to make sure your DIRECTV STREAM services are working at its fullest. In this case we kindly recommend you to reach your internet provide to review what's happening with the VPN at the moment you connect it.
We'll be here for you, in case they're able to confirm that everything is okay from its side.

@Ndagle thank you for the vpn info...I downloaded a VPN for both my android phone and Firestick and now directv stream is working....so does that indicate that directv is locking out certain ip addresses that are assigned by starlink? I'm not an it type...but....
I wonder ifcanyone that is running a static ip thru their erhernet connection is also being successful

I repeat the comments bt @Ndagle I wasted over an hour each time on 2 separate calls to directv, in addition to deal with the accent of offshore support...having to explain that my speeds had worked 3 days before were adequate, and that I was successfully connecting on a wifi that was very weak..a neighbors ( with permission)..that was a distance away....they wanted me to waste more time reinstalling the apps...when I had done that several times already.
