Streaming disruptions

Is it common to have the stream start buffering?  Ours does this at least five times a day.  All other apps don't have this problem and we are using 500MB speeds

Chances are that you are experiencing buffering somewhere along the data path. If you are referring to other apps like Hulu, Netflix, etc, then you are comparing a multi-stream service like DirecTV Stream to single stream services. They are not the same. Repeated buffering may result from a technical problem with the content provider or your internet service provider (ISP), but it can also occur when too many devices are using an internet connection at the same time. However, in most cases, it's a function of your internet speed. Are you using WiFi or hard-wired? What device are you using? Even if your internet speed is ok, weak Wi-Fi is a common issue that causes buffering. A weak Wi-Fi signal can cause slow speeds that lead to constant buffering. First, move your Wi-Fi router closer to your streaming player. Next, look at a more powerful router or even one of the new mesh routers. The best choice is to hard-wired.

I am on 500MB speed and the buffering occurs wired or on wifi it is no different whether I am only on Stream or multiple devices

actually a lot of people are complaining about constant buffering and audio changing from english to spanish (specifically on nfl fox broadcasts). i’m hard wired and have great connection - buffering issues only with directtv. A lot of people are complaining in other forums i’ve  seen.It’s very frustrating.

I’ve had buffering issues since day one (2 months or so) kept being told it was wifi - we have 300meg - but i am watching in my basement over wifi…but i just recently got a mesh system with a pod 5 feet from my TV…speed test is showing 300meg…still getting buffering, long load times, cutting in and out…always during live sports. It’s not my internet…DirectTV needs to do something

Yep - i was thinking it’s something between Samsung and Directv as well…one of the only variables i have no way of really testing. All our TVs are Samsungs.
