Too Many Streams

My HOA just ended bulk contract with Xfinity and went to DirecTV.   As part of the package, we got three Gemini boxes.  It worked fine when I had two TVs on.  Then I turned on a third TV and got screen below.  I could not get picture on third TV.  I clicked Set New Home Location and Streaming worked on third TV.  Problem is it was done on my Home Location.  I then learned that you are allowed four location changes in a year.  I now have three left as I did this on my home locations.  Called support which was a waste of time.  They had no idea why I got the error and could not reset me to four locations.  I was not outside me home location.

Does your HOA supply your internet service, or do you? Who is your internet provider?

DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM are two different providers, though they share the same owner. Bulk contract is only for DirecTV (satellite) as DIRECTV STREAM is only signed up personally.

Who is your ISP? With DIRECTV STREAM if your IP address changes, it counts as moving. So depends on how often your ISP automatically changes that or if they have an option for a static (doesn't change) IP address.

Directv Stream is indeed in the bulk business as I am part of a community that has recently moved from Uverse.  I too have had issues (not this one) that they are struggling to understand and resolve as they are not familiar with these type of accounts and permissions.

New here. Jhonny where is PM you were sending me?

We provide our own ISP currently Xfinity.  August 1st going to AT&T as part of our HOA.  I know, they should have changed ISP first, but Xfinity contract ended.  I live in Florida, power failures are not uncommon.  So every time I could have different IP address.  Not good.

@Juniper DTVi and STREAM are now offered for Multi Dwelling Units (MDU). I think this started late last year.

@thomasbeyer48 's issue might be that his Geminis are configured as out of home; that's why the 3rd is giving the problem.

@thomasbeyer48 the PM icon is a the top right. I'm glad the reps are engaging to help.

@thomasbeyer48 - at least in general, AT&T as an ISP is good about keeping IP addresses fixed. I am also in (south) Florida, and we had a power outage this morning - about 2 hours.  My address survived that and everything else for at least 3 years - possibly much longer.  Of course, this is on an individual direct-feed subscription - it’s possible the distribution tech in your community-wide system is not as stable with address assignment.

Apologies, I need to catch up on the MDU world.

Do the MDU agreements only apply to apartments/condos (physically multiple dwellings in a building) or also to single family developments (MPC or other) under the control of the developer or an HOA that can define community-wide agreements for services?
