Want to keep a customer?

Tell me how to stop this pause every two hours to ask it I'm still watching.

If other apps on that device have a different length of time for the notice, or no notice at all, than that would mean it is the DirecTV app itself, but only the version that goes on that device. So unless it is updated in the future to remove, or at least make the time longer, you would need to use a different streaming device to avoid the issue.

What device? I have a Dtv Stream box (Gemini) and mine doesn't do that. I have screensaver and power saving both off.

This is DirecTV Steam on a Samsung Smart TV.

The DirecTV Stream App on Samsung TVs has lots of issues. You'll be much happier with a $30 Roku or Firestick.

Well... to be completely accurate, I am playing the DirecTV Stream app on my Google Chromecast device connected to my Samsung SmartTV. I have the Samsung bloatware turned off, no Samsung account and no direct internet access for the Samsung TV to use. Don't get me started there. Never again will I have a Samsung TV.

You need a device that doesn't have the 2 hour feature. Apparently that is a feature of either the Chormecast in general or their version of the DIRECTV STREAM app.

To note, we are not trying to keep or not any customer. This is a public forum of other customers, not official support.

Strange I was only getting this kind of prompt about every 6 hours with the SlingTV app and NEVER got prompted using the YouTube TV app.
