Why does the Heroes and Icons channel on Direct TV Stream not have the same programs the rest of the world has ??

Heroes and Icons on Direct TV Stream is different than the rest of the world including the official schedule on the H&I web site.  They do not have Jag and they do not have Ba Ba Blacksheep on Saturdays at 3 and 4.

Direct TV wont answer this.

A Direct TV employee ( just as uninformed as his colleagues) suggested in this forum that it was the time shift from East Coast to West......... no thats not it.  I woud be happy with a time shift cause I would just record it.  Ba Ba Blacksheep does not show up at any time.

Its soo typical to get poor customer service like the rest of the ATT companies. Their equipment (Edited per community guidelines) and their programing (Edited per community guidelines) just like their customer service. No wonder they are doomed to loose customers

This is a public forum of other customers. Anyone from the official 'help' team is not a replacement for normal customer support, they are just supplmental. Any with the 'employee' tag are on their personal time.

TV providers have no say in what programming a channel has. This is what H&I provides to DIRECTV STREAM. Other providers, H&I is not a 'national' channel but a local channel (usually a sub-channel, not a main network). As such, what is available can differ depending whicy one you have.

In the end, you would need to ask H&I why they choose to have different programming. DirecTV is not doomed to lose customers just because the network controls the programming instead of them. Also though AT&T acquired DirecTV a few years ago, they have passed on management to the new co-owner so are pretty hands-off. Hopefully as DirecTV is again like its own entity they will move pass some of the hiccups since that prior acquisition.

Hello there! We are also big fans of this channel! However, The Heroes and Icon channel programming depend on the broadcaster's decision to stream the content. We appreciate you letting us know about this situation, and I will make sure to share your feedback with our team, so we can review what is going on with the channel's programming. Thank you for being part of our DIRECTV family, we will be here anytime you need us. Saula, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Turns out Juniper is WRONG!

Direct TV wont be honest, they are cheap!

I called the Heroes and Icons channel and they said it is caused by Direct TV  not paying royalties.  If Direct TV paid for the channel they could broadcast the better programs but instead they falsely advertise a channel they really dont deliver and hope nobody notices it.

They are just deceptive and cheap.

@Mteglia You are incorrect. All of the streaming services have the same schedule. Directv Stream, Sling, Philo, Friendly. So, it's not just Directv Stream. H and I has 2 separate feeds. One is for streaming and the other is for cable tv/Satellite, OTA antenna. Which I already said. And has already been posted in this forum a few times. If you go to their website and check the schedule---you can see they have different choices for cable tv/Satellite/OTA and streaming. That's what H and I provides.

@Mteglia

As has been pointed out, H&I does not have the same programming for the rest of the world. Streaming schedule vs traditional TV schedule does differ. And TV providers do not pay "royalties", they get a carriage agreement for the network but have no say in individual programming. That is the same as any other TV provider. Sounds like whomever you got at H&I gave you a fast and loose answer, so perhaps a new employee or temp (if not than that is a very bad employee on their end).

What I posted was correct. If you cannot live without those programs than you will need to choose a different TV provider that has the other schedule for H&I.

Just remember, you are not entitled to any specific programming. There are more important things in life than to throw a fit because you don't have some shows.
