WPIX 11/CW NY and News 12 Long Island Status

To clarify, this is for DirecTV Stream (formerly Directv /AT&T Now).

There is no place to officially request networks. Such research and decisions are internal to the company. Though you could certainly contact your local affiliate WPIX and inform them of your interest.

Right now though I would expect their focus is the spinoff which has a lot of work to do. Adding additional channels at this time is probably low priority.

Name change confusion starting all over again DIRECTV NOW to AT&T TV NOW to DIRECTV STREAM. But at least the latest one mentions streaming, but there will still be people who will just assume it is an extension of DirecTV. You are ahead of the curve understanding that and clarifying for others that don't pay attention to the forum section. Plus you notice the correct brand is one T and one word (been bugging me in so many other posts, including official responses which I assume are outsourced).

@DIRECTVhelp - if you reps ever bothered reading the posts you respond to, you'd know that the poster already knows what channels they get, knows they don't get the channels they are asking about, and wants to know how to get DirecTV Streaming to provide them.  But reading skills are apparently not amongst the DirecTVhelp reps' repertoire...

I also would like to know if and when DirecTV stream will be including WPIX-channel 11 in their NYC local lineup. I need all the local channels available or else I may have to go with YouTube TV that has all the channels including the subchannel COZI TV.

Better go with YouTube TV because no one here in this public forum can guarantee when anything will take place. Local channels with the networks depends sole;y on contract negotiations between the local channel and the service. Until that happens the network will not be available.

Unfortunately, every one of these cable replacement streaming services has their trade-offs.  We went with Directv Stream because it was one of the few that had Hallmark  in addition to a few others.  We've been on for a couple months and I never noticed WPIX was missing until we tried playing the Yule Log on Christmas morning.

Most all local broadcasters offer their own app for local news and information. Some offer a lot more. If a local network is not available in your area you should look into getting their app.
