771 signal issue

Getting that 771 signal issue on numerous channels. Really don’t know how many channels because sometimes works fine then it don’t anymore. All I know is it’s frustrating, Then repeating the steps says to do in Tips, doesn’t fix the problem. Would rather call for technician

We appreciate you trying the steps listed in Tips to resolve the 771 issue.  We do have some questions about the issue:

  1. Has this been an issue for a long time?
  2. Have you had any unusual weather recently? Unusual or nonseasonal weather can cause physical damage to the dish, move it out of alignment, or degradation to cables over time.
  3. Did you check outside for actual physical obstructions to your dish? Even a slight obstruction can cause loss of channels.
  4. Did you check the cabling inside the home for any loose connections or physical damage to the cable?
