I hae not been able to watch a full progam for the last month and a half. I keep getting the erro code 771 and there has been no bad weather and there is nothing obstructing my dish.

Let's help get you back to watching TV, @feliciat.
Have you done any DVR troubleshooting? Have you tried resetting your DVR? Does it affect one or all of your receivers, if you have more than one?
We recommend resetting your DVR and we have an article with more information about error code 771 and some suggestions on how to it.
