Adobe Flash Substitute?

The DirecTV player requires Adobe Flash player to watch on my computer.

Adobe Flash is obsolete, being discontinued, and can no longer be downloaded.

What alternative player is available that will function with DirecTV online?

The tech support person I spoke with on the phone seemed lost and was no help.

Is DirecTV addressing this issue?
