All recordings loose time all night after storm and signal loss

If there is a storm any time during recording, The signal is lost and the recording stops.  After it starts up again the recording finishes and you loose that time of the program the signal was gone.  Unfortunately the recording doesn't continue for the hour to catch the beginning of the next show.  The start of the next recording doesn't start until your into the program by the time the signal was gone.  Why the (Edited per community guidelines) can't DTV modify the software to correct this problem! Does anyone know the magic incantation to reset recording if you happen to be up and catch the signal loss.  I've tried turning the DVR of and on and then turning the recording option off for the show and then back on, but I still loose time on each recording all night.

I can only half understand loosing the signal because of clouds given technology in 2021.  I can sit in my basement with small windows and still get a signal on my handheld GPS but DTV can't get a signal with a large dish outside because of clouds?
