Are the Media Share and Whole-Home services compatible?

Media Share used to work from my main HD-DVR (HR22-100) until about a year ago when I had the Whole Home service installed. At the time I also upgraded my two other receivers to the H21-200’s. I’ve got the same 1GB wired network Media Share was running on prior to the upgrade and the same Windows Home Server the content resides on. I’m not 100% certain there is a compatibility issue between Whole-Home and Media Share but it’s been so long since I used Media Share nothing else has changed that I’m conscious of.

On my HR22-100 the network test shows 'connected to the Internet' but there is no Media Share option in the setup list (see attached ‘pic’ file) yet on my Windows 7 Laptop I see Media Share ICONS for 'each' of my three DirecTV receivers, see attached ‘snip’ file.  Likewise on my two H21-100 receivers there is no Media Share option in the setup list.

The Whole-Home service ROCKS! so if Media Share isn’t compatible with Whole-Home I’ll stick with Whole-Home and build a media center PC to stream content from my Windows home server but it would be cool if I didn’t have to do that.
