athletics run over time, dvr only records half of show.
The answers point toward recording the next show as well, so that you can see the entire show you originally wanted to watch. But what if you forget to do that? If you try to watch the show On Demand, it just takes you to your recording which is---yes, just half the show. What can we do to see the entire program as broadcast?

Most live sports programs are not rebroadcasted. In most cases you will need to subscribe to the sports leagues owners like MLB to get their archived games. If you get the RSN channel for you team they usually rebroadcast the game same day and maybe next day.
You can add more recording time up to 3 hours for live events when setting up the recording.
