baseball scores on tv
I see how DirecTV is starting to reveal the baseball score at the end of a game on any channel I happen to be watching! I thought I could get around that by recording the game and then start to watch the recorded game WHILE it was still recording. But no, while I am watching the game, the score popped up when the game ended! No point in watching the game now. Thanks a lot. I guess the only way to get around that is not watch tv on the day of the game (at least for 2 to 3 hours anyway while the game is being recorded). I don't remember having this issue in the past.

Hi, @TryDish. We're sorry that the baseball score was revealed before the game ends. We know how important to watch it first to keep the thrill and excitement. Great idea of a feature disabling ScoreGuide. We'll forward it to our tea, so they can review and determine the next steps. DIRECTV appreciates your input. Elton, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I'm not a customer, but could be if Xfinity drops my local sports coverage. Could you please clarify by what you mean by "any channel" and how and where a score would show up? I record all my games for slightly later playback after the game has started.
Thanks

Well, if you're recording a baseball game (MLBTV), be sure to NOT be watching TV for the expected 2 to 3 hours of the game. The score just pops up in the corner of your TV when the game ends NO MATTER WHAT channel you happen to be watching! Even if you start watching the recorded game from the beginning (while it's recording). When the game is over, up pops the score! Very aggravating! The only method to keep from seeing those scores is watch the game several hours later. Definitely do not be watching anything else WHILE. THE. GAME. IS. ON. LOL Oh man. (I checked with MLBTV support. All they said to do, was delete the app and reinstall it. I don't know how to do that on Directv though)

I'm further confused...If we are talking about the same thing, MLB.TV is a streaming service. How do you record a streaming service?. If you record a game on a RSN or say Sunday night baseball on ESPN, does the score also show up no matter what channel you are watching?

If you're planning on getting Directv, then they are not really streaming channels. All I know is, I have a Satellite dish connected to Directv DVR and I can record those channels. And from the game I'm recording, the score pops up at the end of it. Even if I'm watching something else (either live or another recorded program). I'm sorry, I don't know how to answer you. Maybe someone else on here can esplain it better. Sorry.

My mind would be put at ease ( for getting Directv) if you could tell me that you don't have the same problem with recording games that are not on MLB.TV ???
