Bursts of delays on DVR recorded shows
I noticed that when only watching shows that I have had recorded on my dvr, that halfway through the show, the show still plays but it's clear something happened that produces split-second freezes of the show while continuing to play. Weirdest thing - and happens when I'm at the midpoint or beyond of watching shows recorded from NBC, Bravo and others. Why this stutter effect?!? Am I the only one on the planet that is fortunate to have experienced this?

What DVR model number do you have?
When did the problem start?
Have you tried resetting the DVR?

Thanks for the reply! It's a 2 year old Genie unit along with a very thin dvr box. Didn't see model #s on outside of units. I did the reset to no avail. Also took pics of the 2 units in case you need.

Don't see the pictures.
Model numbers should be on the back or bottom of the boxes.
It's possible that the DVR's hard drive is dying.

Thanks. The little box is a Genie Mini Client. It's slaved to the big box, which is your main Genie Server DVR. Did you try resetting the big box?

easy way --use your remote --Search (type) CLEARMYBOX -Search -search all -- It will reboot

Note: after the reboot it will take 24 to 48 hours for the guide data and VOD menu to return fully

Just reset it and will watch a recorded show later tonight to test and will report back. Thanks!

UPDATE: Well, that didn't work. Same issue halfway through the recorded show. Thoughts on next steps?

Very puzzling. I've never seen anyone post this issue before.
Is this happening with ALL recordings? Just NBC? Which ones?
