@rgcook unfortunately Caller ID was discontinued several years ago by DIRECTV. If I do recall correctly, if you have an HR34 or earlier receiver with a dedicated phone jack, the feature should still work.
the reason for DIRECTV discontinuing Caller ID was because there was no reason for it anymore because all important announcements and alerts are now conveniently delivered through satellite.
