Cannot stop a series from recording.

I had a show I like to watch set to record the season, but it keeps recording the entire season from On Demand over and over. There are about 60 episodes, they are three hours long per show so if I don’t catch it and delete them I run out of space fast. I’ll delete them and it may not happen for a few days and then it starts all over again.

I had the series scheduled with “keep 5 at most” and also “only new shows” and that didn’t help. I’ve canceled the series from recording entirely and that didn’t help. It’s not in my Recording Manager at all. I checked the other dvr in my house to make sure it wasn’t “whole home recording” from there and it wasn’t. I rebooted the box and that didn’t stop it. I just can’t get this series to stop recording!  Help!

Are you a DirecTV Satellite or DirecTV Stream customer? 

What DVR are you using?

Hi sorry, that would be helpful lol. I have DIRECTV Satellite, looks like the receiver is HR44/500
