can't change channels with my Direct TV remote, I must go to the guide to find a channel and then change channels
My Direct TV remote only allows me to go to the guide and choose a channel to watch. If I want to change channels,
I must go back to the Guide and select the program I want to watch. Why won't the remote allow me to change channels without the middle step

Thank you. I was hoping to have someone from Direct TV come out and review with me the use of Direct TV...... I was in the middle of moving into my new home when TV installed and not given proper instructions. Appreciate the help. I will also call tech support if there is a phone number and ask for assistance.

Service calls are $99 and you have to call DTV 1-800-531-5000 to set it up.
