Can’t watch live Tv With the DIRECTV app on iPhone Or iPad
It has been two weeks and I still can’t watch live tv on the DIRECTV app on my iPhone or iPad. I’m using my correct credentials. I can log in to view my bill online. But can’t do anything with iPhone or iPad. Keep getting this error message:
We couldn’t find this email address/AT&T Access ID and password combination on file. Please try entering your info again.
What does that even mean. They are my credentials. I’m about to give up on the whole system and think about another service that isn’t so complicated. I tired to call 24/7 technical support and they are closed. How is that 24/7.

@teeta2nv it seems that you have installed the incorrect app on your iPhone/iPad. There are two applications, DIRECTV and DIRECTV STREAM. DIRECTV is just for satellite customers who get their television via a satellite dish. Meanwhile, DIRECTV STREAM is an internet delivered streaming service that uses a streaming device and your WiFi network to deliver you programming.
I am getting the understanding that you installed the DIRECTV STREAM app instead of the regular DIRECTV app. Therefore, please be sure you are installing the right application from the App Store.

If you are unsure which app to choose, try your login info on BOTH apps. If the login succeeds on one app, then you know that is the correct application.

Thanks but I have the satellite app, which is what I want and I can’t use my credentials on. I also have the stream app that lets me log in but I’m not looking to use that app.
two weeks ago everything worked fine and now no dice. Frustrating. I have uninstalled and turned everything off in setting multiple times.

This is the exact problem I am having and it seems to have started back in April. We have spent hours on the phone and it is still not resolved. Acessing the app and using my subscription to access other apps (like Bally Sports) is a deal breaker. I’m thinking our only option is to cancel.

Please make sure that you're downloading the correct app, it is now named DIRECTV on the Go. Also, try resetting your credentials, as this may work to solve this issue.

Kelly, it appears that your suggestion has resolved our problem. I went in to our DirecTV satellite account and changed the user ID to a different email address. The password remained the same and I believe the email address for communications did not change but we'll find out when we get an email communication. I was able to log into the DirecTV app and I was able to log into the Bally Sports app using my DirecTV credentials. I was skeptical but it worked. Thanks for the direction. Steve

I am beyond frustrated I changed my credentials it worked for a week once. Now I can’t log in again. I’ve deleted the app reinstalled on both my phone and iPad. Keeps saying they can’t find my email with an account. (Edited per community guidelines) can’t even watch from a a browser from my iPad. We should have to go through so much so watch what we are paying a lot of money for.

@teeta2nv that certainly is ridiculous how you can’t sign into your online account. Give a call to DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and say to the robot ‘cancel’ to be sent to the retention department. While on call with the agent from retention, describe your concern with your online account. Specifically say that if the issue isn’t fixed, you will be cancelling. If this doesn’t get you far in a few days, you can also elevate the issue with a BBB complaint, getting corporate involved.

I am having this issue now. For some reason, I can sign in to my account using the APP. I can sign in online and watch on the computer but the app is saying my user ID doesn't exist.
