CBS Channel 13 (KSWT) in Yuma, AZ

This channel is not broadcasting in high def. although my other local channels are.  Is there a problem with CBS high def. in Yuma, AZ?

How do you know it's not HiDef?

Is the DVR's front panel 1080i or 720p light on when tuned to Ch 13?

Not all locals may be available to be broadcasted in HD. Some are, some aren't. In my area all of my locals are HD except for the CW. You can call into customer service and they can tell you what locals are/are not in HD for your area.

No need to call CS, go to www.directv.com/locals and put in your ZIP code.  According to that site, the KSWT feed is only available in HD.  One needs to understand that most all local channels broadcast a lot of SD material on their HD signal.  When that occurs, the picture will appear as SD.  The easy way to tell if the signal is truly HD is to press the "format" button on the remote.  If the signal is HD, the size will remain the same.  If it's SD, the size will change with each press of the button.

@Dcd - Yep, pretty much any 'locally' broadcast will end be in SD, such as local news and stuff.
