Channel 71 and Channel 200 - News Mix Changed to Severe Weather Mix WHY????
Why change both channels 71 and 200 ??? Why not just make one Severe Weather Mix and the other the regular News Mix????? Or do a completely different channel. Aggravating when used to watching the News Mix every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello @Drusalina, thank you for contacting us and voicing your concern.
We understand how upsetting it can be to miss your favorite programming. As Hurricane Ian makes its way through the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico and Florida, DIRECTV launched a dedicated Severe Weather Channel and separate four-channel Severe Weather Mix emergency weather mosaic to keep customers up to date on developing conditions.
DIRECTV launched similar efforts to assist viewers during Hurricane Ida (2021), Hurricanes Marco and Laura (2020), Hurricane Michael (2018), Hurricane Irma (2017), Superstorm Sandy (2012), among other national emergency situations. In case further assistance is required, please let us know, and we'll be happy to help you.

Hi @groovylady, we're here to help you with this.
We want to let you know the reason for the changes with the aforementioned channels is because DIRECTV in previous years always created this channel to keep customers informed about the Hurricane Ian emergency. You can check more information here.
It is not known if this will be a permanent or temporary change.
In case you have more questions, please let us know. We'll be happy to help you.
