C-Link blinking Orange
I had my service installed early August, this has been happening from day 1, but have been too busy to really do anything about it.
After about 15 minutes of 3 green lights on my wireless Deca, successfully connecting my dvrs to my wireless network and i can even begin downloading on demand titles, the the far left light Pwr light stays green, the middle Network light goes out and the cLink (far right) light starts blinking orange. I still have active wireless internet because my computer and ipad are still connected.
I find it weird that when i power on the deca, it will work for about 15-20 mins and then stop working, until i unplug it and plug it back in again and 15 mins later we're back to square one. I think this was missed by the Directv installer because as soon as he got everything up and running he took off and wasn't here long enough to see this happen.
I have an Apple Airport Extreme with the Deca hardwired to the router. I would just hard wire my Dvrs to the router to gain internet access but i am under the impression that i wouldnt be able to enjoy the whole home dvr functionality.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The first two quoted statements are in conflict with each other. You either have a wireless system or a hard wired DECA system. The latter is the preferred method with Whole Home and involves a coax from the signal "tree" run to the router and at that point a DECA or BB module interconnects to the router via an Ethernet jumper. We need to know if that's what you have. The wireless system is pure wireless and the adapter has no physical connection to the router.
You cannot connect any Ethernet cables to the DVR's or it will disable Whole Home as you surmised.
If you have the hard wired system described above, I'd guess you have a IP conflict that is disabling your connection. It can be corrected thus. Note you must do all steps in the exact order listed. Be sure to check DHCP.
First thing to try is resetting the DECA network....it must be done in this order. Before you begin, assure that DHCP is enabled on your router if your system is connected to the Internet. This is essential.
1. Disconnect AC power from each DVR and Receiver
2. Disconnect power from the DECA BB Adapter (black or white DECA BB box)
3. Disconnect power from the SWM dish Power Inserter (do you know where yours is located)?
4. Disconnect then reconnect AC power on your home network gateway/router and modem.
5. Wait a few minutes for the router to reset
6. Re-power the DECA Broadband Adapter
7. Re-power the SWM Power Inserter.
8. Re-power each DVR and Receiver
Following that, press and hold the info button on one DVR, then select more system info.Scroll down and check that Internet is listed as connected.

Thanks for the response. I do have the hard wired system and tried this process with no success. Would it be possible i have a defective DECA? It seems to run pretty hot.

I must ask, did you do every single step in the order listed? We get quite a few been there done that responses but want you to know a piecemeal approach won't work.
The DECA BB Adapter runs pretty warm by nature. If you did all the steps, you can try this.
Menu -> .....setup -> system setup -> network setup -> restore defaults. At this point stop and go to your router and disconnect AC power for a minute and plug it back in. When all the lights settle down, go back to the DVR and run the "connect now" command. You should get a "connected to Internet" message. Allow 24 hours for the system to download then try downloading a concert from channel 1239 as a test.

Will restoring defaults get rid of all of my future DVR series scheduling and shows that have already been recorded?

Ahhhh, you didn't actually run the reset then? Resetting is like restarting a computer, it doesn't delete anything. You can run the steps one after the other, giving the router maybe a minute disconnected, then wait for all the router lights to stabilize after you plug it back in.
It's essential that when troubleshooting this equipment that you accurately report the results of any suggestions, otherwise one of us may be suggesting steps that are not appropriate. Of course if someone suggests a procedure that you do not wish to do, simply say so.
