Closed captioning issue

I need to reestablish FULL closed captioning on one of my two tv's.  As noted I have 2 tv's, the main tv (the one we used most often) has lost its closed captioning service.  The closed captioning on the second tv works fine.  How do I get both tv's to give me full closed captioning?

Litzdog911,
Sorry for not responding earlier or correctly.  This is my first time on this forum.  I rechecked the connections and to cut to the chase, found one connection disconnected.  We plugged that in and the problems have been solved.  The picture returned and the closed captioning is now working on shows where it had not been working before.  Bottom line, the problem is solved with your patience and assistance,  Thanks a million for your time.  You will get a STAR rating.

What are your DVR/Receiver model numbers?

How is each box connected to your TV?  Be specific please.

The main TV receiver model number is HR54-500.  The secondary TV receiver model number is C51-100.  On the main TV there are two connections, one is a circular plug in.  The other is a screw in type connection.  The satellite TV receiver has three connections, two are similar to the other TV and the additional connection appears to be a power line hook up.  In playing with this, we have now lost any picture on the main TV.  All that shows is the HDM1 signal.
I sent this message with my email reply by mistake.  Now there is no picture, as stated.  How do I get the regular picture back?

Is the HR54's HDMI Video OUT connected to your TV's HDMI 1 INPUT?

Is the HR54 powered ON?
