Code 205.4 when using Bally Sports App.
After successfully connecting with DirecTV as my "Provider" on the Bally Sports App for many months, it stopped working around 8pm eastern time on 7/7/22 and I received code 205.4 that indicated that my DirecTV ID is not valid. So far, I've been on the phone with DirecTV technical support as well as their digital assistance group, who sent me back to technical support.

Not yet. I've been on the phone with either DirecTV or Bally for over 2 hours today.

I am getting error code 205.4 saying the isn't the ID I use for this service. I have double checked my login and it works for the DirectTv website.

No, the suggested links did not work. I've tried multiple times to reset my ID and password, to see if Bally will acknowledge the new ID and/or password. There's an issue with Bally not recognizing the ID. I spent over 3 hours on the phone with DirecTV and Bally today, with no success. Bally has an open customer service ticket to try to resolve the issue. It's their third open ticket. What a mess!

The care code 205.4 means that your User ID is not authorized to target a native application. Let's start working on a fix by following the next steps:
1. Reenter your sign in credentials and try again.
2. Change your browser, and delete cookies and cache.
3. Make sure that all of your settings and browsers are up-to-date.
Heads up: Try to log in again, and if still having problems, a password reset might be needed to refresh the account.

Since you are receiving the same error, it is necessary to restart the device and try again.
If you are using DIRECTV STREAM device follow the next steps:
1. Press and release the red button on the side of the DIRECTV STREAM Device.
2. Once the device restarts, attempt to sign in again.

I’m having the same issue. I try to login with my DIRECTV account to Bally Sports and get care code 205.4. I’ve change the browser and cleared the cookies and cache. Nothing works. The problem started on 7/7.

Have you tried using the Bally Sport app? Are you getting the same issue over there? I would appreciate this information to further investigate about this log in issue.

Yes I’m trying to connect my DIRECTV account while I’m in the Bally Sports app. It has always worked. My DIRECTV credentials work on all the other apps. But when I’m signed into Bally Sports it does not.
Bally sports direct me to the DIRECTV login screen. From there I get care code 205.4.

Having the exact same issue. Frustrating. Code 205.4. Happening on the DIrecTV sign on screen. Says my ID is invalid. But my ID is valid. Global issue on DIrecTV side I think. Please get this fixed ASAP!
