Connecting my wifi broadband (sprint) router with an ethernet cable to get DIRECTV Cinema

I am having trouble trying to get the directv cinema.

I called Directv and they told me all I needed was an ethernet cable to hook up to my internet router.  I bought the cable but dont know where to hook it up to, in my router.  There is not a "portal" in my router.

My internet is via Sprints 3G/4G wireless wi-fi router.

Do I need something else WITH the ethernet cable or something different all together?

Appreciate any help.  Thanks

you need the DirecTV's wireless internet connection kit.  But first make sure that you have a truly "unlimited" data plan.  as the files that you will download from on demand are considerable large.  somewhere between 4 to 6 gigs in size. and your HDDVR needs a constants connection.  based on these factors, your ISP might not be adequate for VOD.
