direct tv in Pensacola Florida has shut off NBC (5-30) and CBS (7-3)
direct tv has shut off NBC and CBS in Pensacola Florida. THIS STINKS! you need to fix this, pay the fees they ask and put the networks back on. increase the fees on the 50-70 Mexican stations you have running into here. or the more than numerous shopping shows selling face cream and constipation medicine. there are only 4 networks and you have cut 2 of them out by your actions. FIX IT NOW!
The networks may have less viewers than when there were just 3 and PBS, but they still command the largest market share of all tv viewing by a wide margin.
Are you going to adjust my bill for not receiving these networks?
are you going to refund me for missing the Preakness, the Breeders Cup horse races?
are you going to refund me for missing Elementary and Instinct and The Blacklist?
a friend told me there was an antenna direct tv has that they will send that hooks up to the cable box so I can pick up these networks. send it now too.
awaiting your reply.

Here we go again 😞
Realize that the corporation that owns the stations pulled your channel, not DirecTV. This is an all too common negotiating tactic used by these corporations to extort more money from TV service providers. None are immune, so even switching providers won't help.
You will need to use an off-air antenna until they allow DirecTV to provide them again. If you can receive the station with an off-air antenna, this is a good time to request DirecTV’s Local Channel Connector (if you have HR44/HR54). It’s free. And some folks are getting a credit on their account, too. Call DirecTV …. 1 800 531 5000
You'll also want to contact the corporation that owns these stations. Request that they allow DirecTV to continue carrying them while negotiations continue. And ask them why providers like Dish, DirecTV and Comcast must pay them anything when they get to use our public airwaves for FREE?!? After all, these service providers increase their overall viewership and advertising revenue. They're shooting themselves in the foot!
The FCC and Congress could easily fix this. Just allow service providers to deliver an out-of-area station when local stations get greedy. But I fear that the broadcast TV lobby is too powerful to ever let that happen.

I am in central Illinois and have lost CBS and Fox stations. I called and asked for the indoor antenna and was told I was out of area to receive the channels with the antenna. Still without those channels...and paying each month for them. So frustrating. I am looking to move to cable now.
