DirecTV Cinema Plus not getting full update, no response from Customer Service.
Channel 1889 (Anime Network on Demand) was scheduled to get 14 updates at 12:01am on Thursday, November 27.
Only 3 new episodes showed up. It's been 5 days, and people across the nation are complaining about the lack of content on this channel.
I submitted a trouble report via the "Contact Us" page, was promised a response within 24 hours, but have received nothing.
Is there a better way to get DirecTV's Network Operations people to contact the content providers and force a content refresh?
1) The Anime Network pitched a set of 14 half-hour programs to Content Distribution Network.
2) The Content Distribution Network made 3 of the 14 programs available on the video servers that DirecTV customers use.
3) DirecTV customers complain to DirecTV Customer Service, but the failure in step 2 does not get addressed.
Note: Past experience has shown that step 1 does get performed correctly, with the failure occurring during step 2.
Q1: Any recommended ways of goading the techs into making sure that step 2 is restarted?
Q2: Can I get someone from Customer Service to call me back?

I think you need to contact the Anime Network. It's their servers that host these OnDemand shows. DirecTV just provides a link to them via Ch 1289.

I actually compared the program content provided by Anime to what is actually available on the 1889 guide data. There are several missing, I actually counted ten. It may be that Anime has those programs ready and available but they have reached their maximum that Directv will allow (a supposition only). In any event, there is no way (again a supposition on my part) the poster is going to reach an individual within Directv that will have the wherewithal to push a button and make those programs appear. For the most part the missing programs are subsequent episodes of programs that already have 3 or 4 episodes available. I'd wager that given a bit of patience they will appear. There is one hang up to that. Some of the missing programs expire very soon.
