DIRECTV Error Code 409

My internet provider is ATT, and my DIRECTV receiver (HR44-700) says it's connected via WiFi, but I'm having trouble downloading and streaming OnDemand programs. In addition, when I try to utilize my TV applications, I receive the following message: TV Apps is still initializing. Please try again later. 409 Error Code

This has been an ongoing issue for over a week and I have called DIRECTV twice already. I'm told that the issue is being escalated but the timetable to determine the cause and resolution is unknown.

I don't think the problem has anything to do with my internet because all other devices are connected and working properly.

Hi @jrussaw thanks for bringing this to our attention.

These are some methods to fix common streaming issues:

First one is to reset the main receiver, you can press the reset button, unplug it, or restore it to factory settings by clicking here. Make sure your device cords are properly plugged in.

After reset it, please reconnect your HD DVR to the Internet for DIRECTV by clicking here.

Reinstalling the DIRECTV app is an useful and easier way to troubleshoot streaming issues as well.

Let us know how it goes.

Your suggestions didn't work because the equipment in question was defective. DIRECTV sent out a replacement receiver and all is well.
