DIRECTV Fixes: Audio & Lip Sync Issues

Solutions for Audio Drops, Loud Commercials & More

There are some basic things to try to resolve audio issues like:

  • Make sure the volume is up - Different shows and movies may be much quieter than others
  • TV not set to mute
  • Change channels - This ensures it's not a broadcasting issue
  • Reset the receiver

Sound Systems

Make sure the connections are secure. Make sure to check the manual for your sound system for the best set up. You can also find solutions on their forums as well.

Sound Issues & FIxes

Are experiencing poor audio like:

  • Audio dropping out
  • Audio interference.
  • Audio not in syncing with video (lip sync)
  • Too loud
  • Too low.

Fixes include:

  • Using the right cables
  • Replacing damaged cables
  • Problem with audio equipment (sound systems)

Commercials too loud?

Some commercials broadcast at different audio levels. This is a broadcast issue and not related to AT&T.
