DirecTV Roku App on HOME NETWORK will not show DVR Recording list

On my home network (the same network as my Genie HR54-500 DVR) my Roku Express+ (3931 series with latest software update, which is on the supported device list) will not show any recorded shows that are on my DVR.  It doesn't even list them - the list is empty.  It says to open the app on *my mobile device* and refresh the list.  I did this  (on my phone) and it makes no difference on the Roku.  The list on the Roku is always empty.  Again, I am on the same network in the house (same IP address range) as the DVR.  The Android mobile app *can* see the list when I am at home on the same network as the DVR.

Seems like many of the features on the DTV app do not work as advertised!

Hi @John5, we're here to shade some light on your concerns.

DIRECTV is hard working on improve the customer experience, that's why the DIRECTV App is now available on streaming devices such as Roku. Nevertheless, the feature to watch DVR recordings at home, and out home currently is not an available function. 

Our teams are always listening, learning and working on enhancements to allow for full DVR capabilities, thanks to feedbacks like yours.

This page clearly says I can "stream live or recorded shows while at home or on-the-go".  It could not be more clear, but this is obviously incorrect and misleading.


NEED HELP?
