Directv2pc advisor
Are they going to do away with this software which does nothing to prevent you from actually trying to the run the software if it doesn't detect newer equipment. Part of the reason I ordered this service is due to being told this service was available from the high def dvr. I'm running a Core i5, SATA 300, 1Gb Vid and 6Gb Ram and this thing won't let me install it, and I have two slightly older machines which should still qualify as well and the advisor is blocking me from running this software. I've about had it with DirecTV. I had to call the CW channel in Pittsburgh a couple months ago to let them know DirecTV was blaming them for a squeal on the audio and CW had to get DirecTV to fix the problem. Come on... you guys are startin to get as bad as Dish, and all this will do is allow a third party to take your market. Look at the evolution of this industry. Each one thinks they are the giant until the next one eats up the customers they've wronged.
