Why can’t I download shows from my DVR to the new DIRECTV app to watch when I am away from home? I travel often for business and this capability is a requirement for me.

There are bugs in the new app continue to use the old app but there are posts that Apple has removed the old app from the store.

It doesn’t appear to be a bug in the new app. The DVR download functionality isn’t there at all.

Is there any news about old app being reinstated in apple store or the new app added the functionality? Really disappointed as I go camping a lot and did not have wifi to stream.
