DTV Stream not showing correct local channels
We are DTV satellite customers that use the DTV app via a Firestick on a secondary TV. Our sattelite receiver and iPad reflect the correct local channels (Sacramento), but the app on the Firestick has recently switched to Reno. It was working fine on Sacramento for many months, nothing was changed and it switched to Reno local stations, then it switched back to Sacramento and now back to Reno. We have changed nothing on our account zip code mailing address.
Any ideas on how to correct?

Hi, @bonairedivergirl. Local channel availability is based on your billing ZIP Code and market area. Visit Manage Local Channels | DIRECTV Support to learn more. Thanks for choosing DIRECTV. Daisy, DIRECTV Community Specialist

@DIRECTVhelp That doesn't solve the problem both TVs are in the same house/apt/condo with the same zip code it is the app that is changing the local channels from Reno to SAC and back.

Thank you for giving us enough time. We would like to confirm if the Firestick has location services enabled on the device? If the answer is yes, please turn it off and restart the device with the setting still off. Let me know if it works. Kiarha, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Thank you, I have tried to implement this resolution with no success. The location on the Firestick cannot be disabled or changed. There is no option to disable and I even tried changing to a different location, but when I restart the Firestick the location defaults back to my home zip code.

As a DTV satellite customer using the app on a Firestick, experiencing local channel switches from Sacramento to Reno without any account changes, you might try resetting the Firestick, updating the DTV app, or contacting customer support to ensure the app reflects the correct location settings.

Just to let people know, DirecTV support gave up on my issue and they say it is an issue with my four Firesticks, even though I have the same issue when streaming on my laptop (that is not tied to a Firestick at all). They also have the Reno stations listed on their website as being the correct local stations for my zip code (rather than Sacramento), even though I live in California, do not live anywhere near Reno and receive Sacramento local stations on our satellite receiver. So frustrating, ready to switch to YouTube TV and just get rid of the receivers all together.

This issue is still unresolved. Can someone weigh in if this could be the issue? When I put in my zip code on the link below (95223 - Calaveras), the Reno stations are showing for locals. It should absolutely be the Sacramento stations as I live in California (not Nevada) and live no where near Reno. Is it possible the app is pointing to a wrong table for local channels? https://www.directv.com/channel-lineup/modal/?tab=rsn
