DVR not recording programs to the end

Did you add time to the scheduled recording? Live sports tend to run longer than what is scheduled. I always add at least an hour to football and baseball games.

I have the same issues. Not all the time but I'll record a 1.5 hour movie and only 1 hour records or an automatic record will only record 3 minutes of a 30 minute show. There isn't a recording conflict that I can find. Any ideas?

You may also want to reset your receiver, this usually helps with clearing the log of data in the DVR.

@Vanessa53 You do not have the same issue. The OP was talking about live sports that regularly run over the scheduled time. You are indicating recordings don’t even record the entire scheduled time. Unless someone is purposely stopping the recordings, I would suspect the dvr is rebooting.

Is it possible to add recording time to a program with DirecTV Stream?  I was able to do that when I had ATT Uverse because I had a physical DVR.  

But how on Earth do you "add time" to programming.  I looked at every pull down menu under "system" and nothing remotely speaks to adding recording time.

Does anyone know how to do this?

@dflowers , you posted this in the DirecTV Satellite forum, not Stream. But, you're correct. There's no way to "pad" recordings with Stream. Your best bet is to setup a recording for the show after the one you want to ensure you get the whole thing.
