DVR Recording Episodes on PPV Channels
I have a certain program setup to record specific seasons of the series. 2-3 months ago the DVR started to add shows that require payment to purchase the episodes on channels 1998 & 1999 - which are pay-per view channels. This is not what I want. I just want any of the episodes in the seasons of the series to record when they are aired on any of the channels to be recorded like they used to be previously.

How did you set up the Series Recording? If you set it up using the Channel Guide and select the specific channel you want to record, then it should not record that show from any other channels.

It is set up with the “Series Manager” under the “Recording Manager”.
Yes, I know that what you’re saying is correct and I’ve seen many others state this in their posts also. BUT, I’ve had it programmed like this for a number of years! It just suddenly started doing this 2-3 months ago without any warning or changes on my part.

They appear to have been added recently to the PPV channels so your DVR is doing what you told it to do.
