error 13 possible fix

i have a wireless game adapter from my HDdvr going to a wireless router. i had a error 13 code on my dvr. first the wireless adapter must be pluged into the wall NOT A POWER STRIP of any kind. Next you must use the top port on the back of the DVR.  This worked for me, maybe it can help some of you.
