Error code 771 on nearly 50% of channels I watch.
I started getting 771 codes on a lot of channels. Sometimes they clear themselves after 5-30 seconds and sometimes they take a lot longer. I have at least one channel (INSP) that never comes on. I have actually left INSP try to tune while I left the house for a couple of hours and it never came on. Also the Autotune function of my receiver no longer functions most of the time.

What is the receiver model? And what are your signal strength readings on satellites 101, 99, and 103? 101 should be 98 on most to all satellites and it is normal to see some at 0 or low signal. Satellite 99 and 103 should have at least 90 to 95 strength, anything lower would mean that the dish needs to be peaked.
