ESPN missing.
Just noticed, as I got ready to watch a game, that ESPN in 206 isn't shown as one of my channels. BUT, it is shown as part of my viewers package.
I've followed ALL the recommendations for getting it back with no results. Multiple resets, power cord, holding the power button for 20 seconds, etc. Still NO ESPN. I've gone online and tried to stream but it gives me the message that I don't have that package, but my channel lineup says I DO have channel 206.
Anyone else missing ESPN at 206?
I'm aware of other channels being dropped to customers if they don't use them enough but ESPN isn't one of them.

Have you refreshed your authorizations? DTV has no clue what channels you watch, they do get anonymous viewing data from all customers to help decide what packages to place the channels. DTV can't remove any channels until the contract expires.

So, what is this 'refreshing authorizations'? Where would I find that?

You log into your account to do that. I don't remember if ESPN was move out of the Entertainment channel package on Dec. 8 with some other channels or not.

We want you to get the most out of your DIRECTV satellite, Jim.
ESPN is available on the ENTERTAINMENT package and above. Have you logged into your DIRECTV account to see if it's active?

Still need more info about where 'refreshing auths' might be. I have logged into my acct and did a search and it doesn't go anywhere except to those things I've already done. And nothing says anything using the word 'authorization'.
So if you know the path to that 'authorization' bit, please let me know what it is.
Thanks.
AWW, never mind. Took a LOT of digging but I finally found where they dropped ESPN from my package AND raised my rate. It was $65, now it's $67. And ESPN was quietly dropped.
Really (Edited per community guidelines) how they worked so hard at making it invisible to users. Used to be a button to click to compare the channels each package would get quickly and easily, but now it goes to a screen that just names the packages. My package isn't even named! I just shows the DirecTV logo over that column. YOU have to figure out
where to click for them to show up and if I scroll down on my package is doesn't even list ESPN for any package...which is tricky because if you check the $75 package, yeah, it features ESPN right in the header.
Really disgusting of AT&T to reduce service, increase the price, than pretend they didn't do it by hiding the facts carefully.
Okay, I'm done with DTV, I'll be switching to Fubo streaming tV.
Thanks for your help.

DTV has an annual price increase that starts in January and they send out notices in Oct.,Nov. and Dec. so long as the channels demand more money when the contract ends DTV has to raise their rates. There were notices sent about the Entertainment package losing some channels on Dec. 8 assuming that is what you have.

Really creepy that AT&T has chosen to hide the lowest cost channel offerings. I have the Select package. I click on Channel Lineup in my acct and there's NOTHING about Select. AND NO PACKAGE PRICES LISTED right there with the offered packages as a normal consumer would expect. It only shows higher priced packages and nothing about 'Select' package. 2 or 3 weeks ago, when I was browsing through my acct, I saw this page, scrolled down and saw ESPN there so didn't really think about it. Now I see that it's just a clever way to NOT show what I'm paying for. Which no longer includes ESPN. You may be right, it could have disappeared on Dec. 8th or whenever but I didn't notice and certainly didn't see any notice of that.

Okay, DTVHelp, I'd be happy to meet you via a DM but HOW? I don't see any DM setup on this page.

I don't have Twitter acct. Where on FB...DIRECTVhelp doesn't show as a DTV acct. Neither does DIRECTV help. There's nothing under that name shown in a FB search. What's the acct name?
Thing is I KNOW I've used that DM in FB with DTV before, just can't find it today. Need a link or something.

The DM is the square box with lines in it next to the bell at the top of the page on a computer web browser. Select has been grandfathered, only the active packages are shown on the website.

We understand how overwhelming this can be, and we would like to get the things fixed for you. You can enjoy the ESPN channel by just downloading its own app and using your DIRECTV credentials. You can check more details by clicking here.

Where, shannon? What link, what page. If you mean this page we're all on right now, no, there isn't any square box in my browser, there's the bell, and next to it the the initial of my first name.
Thx for the info about the 'grandfathering' of 'Select'. I missed that if they sent me an email about it.

@Carlos: Nope that doesn't work as we've already established that my package no longer includes ESPN. Plus I've tried it and it says I am not worthy enough to watch ESPN on my phone.
