Fast forward functioning

As of this morning when remote control fast forward is pressed the TV screen is frozen while the broadcast program advances unseen. When play is pressed, the program resumes at the later point. Because the fast advancement of the program (during fast forward) cannot be seen, it is impossible to advance to a specific desired point.
