Fire stick not linking

I’m having trouble getting my fire stick to login to directtv in apps (ie ABC,NBC). When I select directtv as my provider, the screen flickers and goes back to main selection.

I’ve tried clearing caches & restarting fire stick.

It sounds like the app may be having a hard time authorizing you, so we'd recommend refreshing your service and trying again.

Are you able to login the apps on another device, such as your cellphone? Make sure your Firestick is on the latest version and the app you are using is also the latest version. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the app.
