Following the ball!

Man I am loving watching football in 3D!  But has anyone else noticed that is is difficult to see and follow the ball on kickoffs and long passes?  I also noticed this while watching some of the World Cub games.   The picture is also blurry once in a while but I am convinced this is a camera focus issue because it clears up when camera angles are switched..  I am using an HR22, Mits Adapter, Mits WD 73833 TV and Mits/Samsung sutter glasses....

I noticed the same thing. I figure it is because of 3D. The background we are looking at is usually the crowd. The ball is well in front of that. Our eyes actually need to focus and converge on a different point. Stop the action and it is possible to find the ball but it is difficult when our eyes want to focus on the crowd behind it.

That's the problem with a live broadcast in 3D. If for whatever reason the broadcast loses any bandwidth or the camera is having problems, then the picture is thrown off, BIG TIME. It eventually adjusts and the picture goes back to looking great again. I'm just hoping that more content will be available soon.

More content would be nice, but this will probably follow a similar path as HDTV where it took a couple years before most everything was available in HD.  Actually 3D content will probably increase much slower than HDTV since it requires glasses, an new TV, and possibly other expensive electronics.  I keep wanting to fault DTV for their implementation which requires that we bypass our non 3D capable AVRs but at the same time I have to praise them for providing as much 3D content as they have by partnering with Panasonic, Sony and others to provide the continuous 3D channels, and sports content!!!!!  Great leadership in leading edge technology!!!!!

I'm convinced that some of the issues with the live broadcasts will improve with experience and camera upgrades over time...
