Genie when fast forwarding and then resume normal, the it backs up 15 seconds from what I see while fast forwarding

When I fast forward on Genie satellite, and when I resume normal play, it backs up 15 seconds and then resumes. Some time it is close to 30 seconds. For example I fast forward through a commercial, I resume normal play, it starts in the commercial. Never used to do this.
