Graphics Card Driver

I needed to purchase a graphics card for my system to work with DIRECTV2PC so I borrowed an ATI 3850 to see if it worked and it did. I ended up purchasing an ATI 4670 (mfg by HIS) figuring it is a better card, so it should work fine. When I run the Playback Advisor, it shows the following for PC Playback Readiness:

GPU (Hardware acceleration): ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series = Yes
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series = Unknown
Graphics Card Driver: 8.681.0.0 = No

The rest of the parameters are good.

I'm assuming that 'Unknown' means that the advisor doesn't know if it will work or not, but why then does it know that the GPU is good?

Also, why isn't the Graphics Card Driver good? When I click on info, it takes me to the FAQ and states "Please make sure you download and install ATI Catalyst Ph.D. nVidia nVidia ForceWare 167.37 or later version." The Graphics Card Driver was installed from the same link that is provided there and the driver corresponds to ATI Catalyst 9.12.

When I try to run the DIRECTV2PC application, it loads the now playing list from the DVR, but when I select something to play, I get the message "An error occurred." with the only option to select "Close".

Is it not working because of the driver? If so, why is this driver not good? If not, what is the issue?

Thanks,
Stuart
