Had Full directv Service installed today

I had Directv equipment installed today, previous to the technicians arrival I had installed Directv APP on one of My Apple TV devices and was able to stream most channels but when the tech activated the physical equipment half of the streaming channels on the app disappeared. What's the issue and how do I get those back?

You’ll have to call DIRECTV ( number in my greeting below) to get that going again. Some have had this issue upon activation of an HS17 receiver, which I suppose was the prime reason for your troubles. 
Does this issue happen on other streaming devices or phones/tablets?
