Hbo max app won’t let me sign i

Needed help with hbo max app. I am supposed to get for free, spent 3 hours on the phone with people that were supposed to be able to help but just kept switching me to someone else who had me try the same thing over and over again to my great frustration. Finally told they would send to an escalation department and would hear within 24-48 hours. Well it’s Thursday and radio silence from you guys. App still doesn’t work. Because of my AT&T account I am supposed to get for free.

Hi @abrownin,  we’ll be happy to help with your HBO Max access.

 

Would you be able to provide some additional information for us to help with this?

  • Since this post is under the DirecTV forum, can we assume you have DirecTV service?
    • If so, can you access the HBO channels on your TV?
    • If not, are you getting the free HBO offer through an Internet offer or another of our services?

 

The HBO offer may need to be redeemed, to do this you can:

  1. Login to your account on the AT&T website.
  2. There should be an HBO Max tile
  3. If it says Activate your HBO Max:
    1. Click Activate HBO Max.
    2. HBO Activation page loads. Select Setup My Account.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions
  4. If it says Start Watching Now you should already be redeemed and able to login to the Max app with the same username and password.
