HD Guide

I live in the Salt Lake City but, I still don't have the new HD guide. Do I have to be connected to a phone line to get updates? I was suppose to get it yesterday.

Nope.  All software updates are downloaded via the satellites.  Give it a day or two and post back if you still haven't gotten the update.

How did you find out you were to get the upgrade on that date? I live north of SLC, in Idaho, and 'm wondering when I'll get mine.

I'm in Wisconsin. The schedule I saw for the download didn't include anywhere in WI.

When are we getting this?

I got it today. I like it. It's definitely faster but still has some lag and is not blazing fast as advertised. I like the new look too.

In my opinion it is okay.  We got it on the 20th in So. Cal area.  Some things are okay and some are so so.  I don't really see it being very fast though.

It may improve,  but I seriously doubt that.  Of course my HD DVR's are all antiques,  the old old 700 series hot running ugly silver things.

Me either.  I can no longer access the guide or DVR list when I want to record to my DVD recorder and watch the program in HD on my other TV simultaneously.

No, just be patient and the guide will upgrade soon. Now if not after say three days or so, call Tech Support not CS. Tech support will be the ones to help you out.

Well,, not sure ,, I read in the Q & A area that the HD guide was for 'newer'  H-21 receivers and above,,, perhaps the H20-100 is so old it can not get the guide,,, it was a replacement a while back for a dead receiver,,,,, did the repair guy just give some old horse-n-buggy receiver he had in the truck ????  If the fancy guide is part of my HD service,,, then I should be able to access it.
