HD Guide
I live in the Salt Lake City but, I still don't have the new HD guide. Do I have to be connected to a phone line to get updates? I was suppose to get it yesterday.

You know, that maybe also why not. You know you may call Directv and see if they have some type of promotion allowing you to exchange the older receiver for a newer one. Can't hurt to ask.

Keep in mind for future reference that if the H20 were to fail, say it simply wouldn't turn on one day, if you called Directv they would send a replacement for $20 in shipping fees, or free if you have the protection plan. I'd guess that they are not sending out H20-100's any more.

yes I pay for the Protection on all 3 receivers,,,,, so,,,,, letter of the law,,,, I could say that my one receiver does not work properly,, in that it will not pick up the new guide,,,, sorta' like it does not get all the channels,,,,, maybe someday I will do that,, but it works,,,, and the HD works,,, so I think I will be ok,,,,,, not the end of the world just yet.
Thanks for all the tips and advice,,,,
