How do I type in channel number for direct tv on my Sony (2022) remote?
Just got the new XR 2022 Sony tv. Paired Sony remote with Direct TV. Can scroll through the guide to look at what’s on but can’t type in what specific channel I want to watch (no number buttons). Anyone know how to do this?

Juan what?? The OP doesn’t even have a DIRECTV STREAM box in the first place. How can they even use the remote without having the box??
@hooliganzoo if you’d like to use the actual channel numbers you’ll have to purchase a DIRECTV STREAM Osprey Box. These are available for purchase on DIRECTV website. Please ignore directvhelp because that link is JUST the remote, not the actual DIRECTV STREAM box

I just noticed now as well that this could very well be a satellite customer since the Sony remote is able to control a DIRECTV receiver. @hooliganzoo are you a satellite or STREAM customer?
Either way, Juan is still wrong for asking to purchase a remote because the OP wants to use a Sony remote.
