How do you tell Alexa to tune to 247-1?

Recently DirecTV added the channel 247-1 (TBSWHD) and no matter what I say, she can't understand what channel I want. How do I tell her to change to 247-1?

Hi @ShaliD,

Good news!  Alexa has now been updated to support the new -1 channels.

As an example, “Alexa, tune to two forty nine dash one”.

Thanks,

247-1 is the OTA channel that shouldn't be in the guide unless you have an LCC connected to the receiver and OTA antenna.  So far the LCC is still in testing mode so DTV hasn't added the OTA channels to Alexa.

What is an LCC? I don't have anything connected to my DirecTV receiver but
channel 247-1 is in my guide and I can get it.

247-1 is indeed the channel number for the new TBS west channel. Nothing to do with OTA or the LCC. But I am sure no-one at Directv has told alexa about this. It's a stupid idea anyway. HBO east and west have separate channel numbers.
